This would guarantee my vote for McCain in November. Despite Hertzberg’s snarky way of presenting it, choosing Condi as VP would be the best way to cement the base, and give Conservatives a positive reason to vote for the ticket.

I like President Bush. And I like John McCain more than Osama Obama or the Clinton Gang. But this picture is just bizarre…
All we need is for McCain to be looking up adoringly into George W’s eyes…
And one more thing. The President doesn’t look too happy about this hug moment either.

…I endorse John McCain for President.
(This endorsement, and $1.85 will get you a cup of coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts.)
I don’t really have a choice, now do I?
In the end, I always ask myself:
Who would Al-Qaeda pull the lever for in November?
Of the three possibilities, the one least likely to get Al-Qaeda’s vote is John McCain.
I don’t speak for Craig or Matt. They have to post their own opinions.
But now that the battle for the White House is truly joined, you’ll hear no more disparaging remarks from me about Mr. McCain. Is he the best choice? Nope. But, he’s the only choice now.

John McCain’s impending nomination for President keeps getting stranger and stranger. Can Republicans really nominate a man who came close to leaving the party, and throwing the Senate to the Democrats? From the sound of this article, Jim Jeffords beat McCain to the punch by a matter of days, if not hours.
And then there’s this, from Ann Coulter:
“If you’re looking at substance rather than whether it’s an R or a D after his name…If he’s our candidate, then Hillary’s going to be our girl, Sean, cause she’s more conservative than he is. I think she would be stronger on the war on terrorism. I absolutely believe that.”
In John McCain’s eyes, conservatives are the Viet Cong of this generation and he treats us as such. It’s either his way or no way.I despise his habit of talking down to us, like a wise father to an idiot son. He’s just at a loss to understand why everybody doesn’t grovel at his feet and accept his every word as wisdom handed down from his lofty perch atop Mt. Olympus.
I can’t help it. I know in my heart he hates me, and every conservative. If he gets the nomination the only way he could win against Hillary or Barack Obama would be to be part of a McCain-Limbaugh ticket.
Michael Reagan, the eldest son of Ronald Reagan, is heard daily by over 5 million listeners via his nationally syndicated talk radio program, “The Michael Reagan Show.”
My God. Truly we have fallen down the rabbit hole and entered Wonderland.

I’ve watched the candidates on both sides now. And I’ve carefully NOT given an opinion on the Republicans. But this from Ann Coulter is too good to pass up. We need these reminders as Super Tuesday approaches.
Should John McCain be the nominee, I will happily hold my nose and vote for him in November. As bad as he is, he would be a much better choice than the Clintons or Obama.
For a definition of Newspeak go here. George Orwell continues to speak from the grave.
