John Kerry’s Suicide Pact

Posted by redsatellite on March 12, 2009

John Kerry claims mankind is making a suicide pact by ignoring Global Warming. I’m hoping he will make the issue much more personal. Yah, I’m hoping if we continue to ignore this hoax, HE WILL COMMIT suicide.

Climate change delay is ‘suicide pact’

A leading US senator warned on Wednesday that deferring potentially costly actions to combat climate change because of the global economic slump amounted to “a mutual suicide pact.”

“Climate change is not governed by a recession, it’s governed by scientific facts about what’s happening to Earth. And you either accept the realities of the science or you don’t,” said Democratic Senator John Kerry.

Fortunately, climate change isn’t governed by John Kerry or his abject stupidity. (Heck, I’m near suicidal that this article calls him a ‘leading US senator’.)

And…I’ve got more good news! Yep…this just in…more and more Americans are thinking Al Gore and John Kerry are yanking our chain.

Increased Number Think Global Warming Is “Exaggerated”

Although a majority of Americans believe the seriousness of global warming is either correctly portrayed in the news or underestimated, a record-high 41% now say it is exaggerated.

This represents the highest level of public skepticism about mainstream reporting on global warming seen in more than a decade of Gallup polling on the subject.

Ya…more and more Americans are rejecting this cockamamie issue. Why? Well, for one…this past winter probably shut a few people up.

And just so as we’re all on the same man-made page: Al and John are talking about Global Warming caused by HUMAN beings. Ya…and they have a nifty little scientific term for that- Anthropogenic Global Warming– otherwise known as AGW.

At the same time, a record-high 16% say the effects will never occur. (Prior to now, Gallup polling found no more than 11% of Americans saying the effects of global warming would never happen.)

Count me in with that RECORD HIGH 16 percent group who entirely reject Global Warming. I mean c’mon….’anthropogenic’? Is that hilarious? Scientists can’t call it: Man-made Global Warming (MGW) or Pollution Global Warming (PGW). No…they have to justify all that ‘green’ research money by throwing out the word: anthropogenic.

Right about now…you’re saying….well Craig…if you’re sooooooooo damn smart- and we are experiencing global warming…who’s to blame? Well, kind readers, I’m glad you asked!

I’ve decided to tell you what the more BELIEVABLE reason is…and….I’m going to coin a new word in the process. (I’m always there for you, aren’t I?) Should we begin to truly experience global warming in the next few decades, chalk it up to….

HELIOPOGENIC GLOBAL WARMING (or as I like to say- HGW) …..yes that would be the sun’s effect on nature. Not bad, huh? Heliopogenic, hmmm….has a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ about it, don’t you think?

Remember, you heard it here first.

Liberal Morality

Posted by redsatellite on February 26, 2009

Yes…I know it’s an oxymoron- but it’s worse than that. While conservatives debate good and evil, right and wrong…immorality and sin, liberals debate…um…well…liberals debate, okay…I’ll just come out with it….liberals debate…Toilet Paper.

Toilet Paper and Other Moral Choices

When Sheryl Crow said that people should use only one sheet of toilet paper, she was lampooned by everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Jon Stewart.

More recently, the issue of toilet paper has become less of a joke (except when celebrities express an opinion) and more of a cause: since the fluffy kind cannot be made from recycled paper, conservationists argue, consumers can do their part to protect the environment by buying the rougher stuff. There are skeptics who say the benefits of such a switch are overstated.

SAY WHAT? Granted, it’s an opinion piece from the NY Times….but what in the name of 2 ply tissue has gotten into liberals? Silly me…I’m focused on the 10 commandments- while the moral dilemma for liberals is choosing Charmin over Scott.

Liberals, truly are, not of this world.

Giving Liberals Guilt- Is No Small Feat

Posted by redsatellite on February 23, 2009

You REALLY have to be that good, to give liberals’ guilt. As I’ve said before, I mean…the old-fashion Judeo-Christian- fire and brimstone….you’re going to Hell– type guilt. It’s no small feat, and very few have successfully pulled it off. To tap into a liberal’s guilt, you’ve managed- against all odds– to find that mere SCINTILLA of ‘morality’ still resident in their body. And Al Gore and his Global Warming mob has done it.

What is more bizarre….is the degree to which this has accelerated. Case in point.

Carbon offset pricing may confuse tourists

Air travelers are paying vastly differing prices to offset their contribution to climate change, in some cases three times market levels, despite efforts to increase transparency in an unregulated market.

Under a regulated carbon market, countries and companies buy offsets to help them meet binding international climate targets.

Prices have halved in recent weeks as recession reduces industrial output and expected emissions.

But prices which consumers pay in an unofficial market have lagged behind those falls.
Carbon offsetting is offered to tourists and business travelers by many airlines and offset developers so as to allow people to justify flying by funding a carbon reduction project elsewhere.

I mean c’mon….how ridiculous has the Gore-bal Warming hoax become- when legions of idolators admit- they may be ‘CONFUSED’ by their own self-imposed Sin Tax.

Yah….that’s right- much like the sin of smoking cigarettes or drinking booze, more air miles adds to global warming…and by paying for carbon offsets- this is their ‘way out’ to help get over the SIN of flying.

Uh…no…I’m not kidding.

Carbon offsets traded on regulated exchanges at 9 euros on Friday, while unregulated prices can be much lower.

Yes…you read that right….this means, there are people with FULL TIME JOBS….making a career of this. Un-effing-believable.

The money helps fund projects which reduce emissions elsewhere, such as planting trees or trapping methane emissions from waste dumps in developing countries.

Fly to Paris- buy a baby tree. Fly to Rome- harness cow flatulence. Folks…this is why I hyperlink, I can’t possibly make it all up.

And the Answer STILL…is Global Warming

Posted by redsatellite on February 9, 2009

Most of you who read my post know…that the Global Warming mantra coming from the Main Stream Media is unrelenting, unending, and downright…pertinacious. As a result, I always feel compelled to bring you the most outrageous, most outlandish….most NONSENSICAL reports from around the world…where global warming is the….raison d’etre for literally… and I do mean literallyeverything.

So, you can imagine my delight when I came across this one:

Art under threat from climate change: U.N. experts

Art treasures in tropical nations are under threat from climate change which is likely to speed decay, U.N. experts said Sunday.

“The art world is made of materials that bugs like,” said Jose-Luis Ramirez, head of the U.N. University’s program for biotechnology for Latin America and the Caribbean.

“Climate change is a threat because it is going to increase the amount of fungus and bugs in many regions,” he told Reuters of a meeting of experts in Caracas from February 9-12 on new ways to protect art collections.

FUNGUS and BUGS? (If you managed to hold down your coffee without spraying it through your nose, you’re a better person than me.)

Of course…that now begs the question….where in the name of Orkin are they hanging these priceless works of art? In a jungle hut on the Amazon? On the deck of a boat chugging down the Ganges River? Hanging from a Kapok tree in a Malaysian rainforest?

Whatever happened to putting these ‘art treasures’ in a museum where there’s a roof and air conditioning? Since when do you have to hand out bug spray when you visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art?

If you’re shaking your head and rolling your eyes at this point- you’re not alone.

Global Warming Rages Through Kentucky

Posted by redsatellite on February 2, 2009

Al Gore, that gifted clairvoyant of the environment, may have a tough time selling his schtick in the state of Kentucky.

Utility crews renewed work in subfreezing temperatures Saturday in their effort to put the power back on for nearly a million customers left in the dark by an ice storm that crippled parts of several states this week.

Thousands of people in ice-caked Kentucky awoke in motels and shelters, asked to leave their homes by authorities who said emergency teams in some areas were too strapped to reach everyone in need of food, water and warmth.

Dozens of deaths have been reported and many people are pleading for a faster response to the power outages. About 536,000 homes and businesses across Kentucky were without power, down from more than 600,000 the largest outage in state history, surpassing the damage last year from the remnants of Hurricane Ike.

Doris Hemingway, 78, spent three days bundled in blankets to ward off the cold in her Leitchfield mobile home. News that it could take up to six weeks for power to be restored sent Hemingway and his husband, Bill, into a shelter at a local high school.

“I’d pray awhile and I’d cry awhile,” Doris Hemingway said. “It’s the worst I’ve ever seen.”

Hey… Al lives right next door in Tennessee! I think it’s high time Al Gore drove a Zamboni over to Kentucky and warned them about Global Warming.

Don’t you?

Memo To Al Gore: Americans Could Care Less About You

Posted by redsatellite on January 23, 2009

I’ve seen polls on the subject of Global Warming before…but this one….well this one takes the (frozen) cake:

As Barack Obama takes office, the public’s focus is overwhelmingly on domestic policy concerns – particularly the economy. Strengthening the nation’s economy and improving the job situation stand at the top of the public’s list of domestic priorities for 2009. Meanwhile, the priority placed on issues such as the environment, crime, illegal immigration and even reducing health care costs has fallen off from a year ago.

Fallen? Uh…you can’t fall any further than DEAD LAST.

Look at ALL the issues ahead of global warming. Trade policy? Lobbyists? I’m surprised that getting rid of pesky cockroaches didn’t rank above global warming.
So the lesson here is: Give it a rest- leave your Global Hoax alone.

Hotel California: Have You Checked Out Yet?

Posted by redsatellite on January 13, 2009

Over the last year and a half, I’ve offered up a few of my reasons for leaving California. Although TOO NUMEROUS to mention, there were several that stood out. Hmmm…it looks like, I’m not alone.

Go East, young man? Californians look for the exit

Mike Reilly spent his lifetime chasing the California dream. This year he’s going to look for it in Colorado. With a house purchase near Denver in the works, the 38-year-old engineering contractor plans to move his family 1,200 miles away from his home state’s lemon groves, sunshine and beaches.

For him, years of rising taxes, dead-end schools, unchecked illegal immigration and clogged traffic have robbed the Golden State of its allure.

The clogged traffic? Um….only because 4 or 5 MILLION illegal immigrants walk the streets. Heck…the sidestreets are worse than the freeways.

The number of people leaving California for another state outstripped the number moving in from another state during the year ending on July 1, 2008. California lost a net total of 144,000 people during that period — more than any other state, according to census estimates. That is about equal to the population of Syracuse, N.Y.

The state with the next-highest net loss through migration between states was New York, which lost just over 126,000 residents.

Wasn’t I just mentioning New York? Uh….by George Stephanopoulos…I certainly was!

Why are so many looking for an exit?

Among other things: California’s unemployment rate hit 8.4 percent in November, the third-highest in the nation, and it is expected to get worse. A record 236,000 foreclosures are projected for 2008, more than the prior nine years combined, according to research firm MDA DataQuick. Personal income was about flat last year.

With state government facing a $41.6 billion budget hole over 18 months, residents are bracing for higher taxes, cuts in education and postponed tax rebates.

You can’t say, I didn’t warn you. I’ve blogged about this debacle, ’til I’m blue in the face. And let’s put it this way…(and in my best Arnold Schwarzenegger voice)I’ll NOT be back.

Cheeseburgers In Paradise

Posted by redsatellite on January 6, 2009

The Global Warming dolts are at it again. Having completely infected the EPA, the EPA is now considering a new piece of legislation on cows.

Indirectly it could be considered a cheeseburger tax, but one of the suggestions offered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in its Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPR) for regulating greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act is to levy a tax on livestock.

The ANPR, released early this year, would give the EPA the authority to regulate greenhouse gas for not only greenhouse gas from manmade sources like transportation and industry, but also “stationary” sources which would include livestock.

The New York Farm Bureau assigned a price tag to the cost of greenhouse gas regulation by the EPA
in a release last month. The tax for dairy cows could be $175 per cow, and $87.50 per head of beef cattle.

No word yet, on whether the EPA will impose a tax on humans that are as big as cows. Like…

Global Warming Rages Through Portland

Posted by redsatellite on December 23, 2008

Al Gore, the Mensa of Memphis….the Titan of Tennessee…has done it again. If it gets any warmer here in the U.S., I’m selling igloos door to door.

Several thousand travelers remained stranded Monday after a rare weekend snowstorm walloped Seattle. “We haven’t seen accumulation like this in 12 years,” said Seattle-Tacoma International Airport spokesman Peter McGraw.

The 14.5-inch snowfall Sunday in Portland, Maine, surpassed the old record for Dec. 21 of 12.4 inches, set in 1933, according to the National Weather Service.

Now wait just a greenhouse minute…call me sceptical….but they’re millions of people waiting…and waiting…and waiting….and waiting…oh heck…and waiting some more…for the heat to show up. Oh….silly me…I forgot…there are OTHERS waiting too!

And that was just in 2008. Last year? More millions…and millions…oh heck…let’s throw in more millions. All this warmth…

…is making me shiver.
