My Apology to the USS Cole Victims and Their Families

Posted by redsatellite on February 6, 2009

Liberalism, that well known disease that has infected all of Washington and the new president…has managed to defecate on the memories of those who died on the USS Cole. Pathologically so.

The Pentagon’s senior judge overseeing terror trials at Guantanamo Bay dropped charges Thursday against an al-Qaida suspect in the 2000 USS Cole bombing, upholding President Barack Obama’s order to freeze military tribunals there.

The charges against suspected al-Qaida bomber Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri marked the last active Guantanamo war crimes case.

The legal move by Susan J. Crawford, the top legal authority for military trials at Guantanamo, brings all cases into compliance with Obama’s Jan. 22 executive order to halt terrorist court proceedings at the U.S. Navy base in Cuba.

SEVENTEEN DIED.

This is why I despise secular progressives and this modern form of liberalism. Let me take this opportunity to apologize to each and every member of the families. I am very sorry, you have to endure liberalism. I know your grief has now been exacerbated by this disease.

The ruling also gives the White House time to review the legal cases of all 245 terror suspects held there and decide whether they should be prosecuted in the U.S. or released to other nations.

Obama was to meet with families of the USS Cole and 9/11 victims at the White House on Friday afternoon and may announce the move.

I hope you unload on him. And shake him to his core.

In Mexico, Good Guys NEVER Win

Posted by redsatellite on February 5, 2009

If I were you, I’d skip that vacation to Cancun. Down in Mexico…the bad guys always win. Yesterday, the anti-drug chief turned up dead….after ONE DAY on the job.

A recently retired Mexican army general whose bullet-riddled body was found Tuesday near Cancun had taken over as the area’s top antidrug official less than 24 hours earlier, officials said.

Retired Gen. Mauro Enrique Tello Quiñonez, his aide and a driver were tortured before being killed, said Quintana Roo state prosecutor Bello Melchor Rodriguez y Carrillo. He said there was no doubt Tello and the others were victims of organized crime.

“The general was the most mistreated,” Rodriguez said at a Tuesday night news conference monitored by El Universal newspaper. “He had burns on his skin and bones in his hands and wrists were broken.”

An autopsy revealed Tello also suffered broken knees and was shot 11 times, Mexico City’s Excelsior newspaper said.

Gee, how pleasant.

Why would anyone take that job? I mean…unless Mexican President, Felipe Calderón, sends in a MASSIVE force of National Guard to eradicate the drug lords and the drug cartels in places like Acapulco and Cancun, nothing is going to change.

The Return of Benjamin Netanyahu

Posted by redsatellite on February 4, 2009

At least, let’s hope so. Mr. Netanyahu, leader of the Likud party, made this delightful statement yesterday:

“[Kadima leader] Tzipi Livni and the people of Kadima scoffed at the predictions regarding rocket fire. A government under my leadership will overthrow the Hamas rule in Gaza and bring about a cessation of rocket fire,” Netanyahu said during a tour of Ashkelon following the first Grad rocket attack since the conclusion of Operation Cast Lead some two weeks ago.

“The policy of blindness followed in the past years has brought us to this situation,” Netanyahu continued. “Residents can no longer count on miracles and Kadima policy.”

Until Hamas is wiped out, no peace will ever come to Gaza. No Palestinian will EVER see prosperity. All the hope and change in Washington will not change this malevolent band of murdering thugs.

That’s a guarantee …you can BELIEVE.

Be Careful What You Wish For

Posted by redsatellite on February 3, 2009

This often repeated line is repeated for a REASON. Today, humans can’t get enough of computers and technology. It is entrenched in every part of our lives. From the time we wake up, until the time we go to bed. Whether it be….at home, on your job, or running errands….we’re busy using ATMs, Online Bill Pay, eFiling Taxes, Internet Shopping, self-help lines, pre-paid Gift Cards, automobile systems, you name it, we’re using computers.

But what if- one day soon– they exceed our ability to control them?

Google and Nasa are throwing their weight behind a new school for futurists in Silicon Valley to prepare scientists for an era when machines become cleverer than people.

The new institution, known as “Singularity University”, is to be headed by Ray Kurzweil, whose predictions about the exponential pace of technological change have made him a controversial figure in technology circles.

Google and Nasa’s backing demonstrates the growing mainstream acceptance of Mr Kurzweil’s views, which include a claim that before the middle of this century artificial intelligence will outstrip human beings, ushering in a new era of civilisation.

Remember Blade Runner? I, Robot? Or The Terminator movies? Not exactly a rosy picture. The same can be said for our newfound ability to clone. Last week, a couple paid $155,000 to clone their Labrador Retriever. Cloning? Computers More Clever Than Humans?

Think about it.

Global Warming Rages Through Kentucky

Posted by redsatellite on February 2, 2009

Al Gore, that gifted clairvoyant of the environment, may have a tough time selling his schtick in the state of Kentucky.

Utility crews renewed work in subfreezing temperatures Saturday in their effort to put the power back on for nearly a million customers left in the dark by an ice storm that crippled parts of several states this week.

Thousands of people in ice-caked Kentucky awoke in motels and shelters, asked to leave their homes by authorities who said emergency teams in some areas were too strapped to reach everyone in need of food, water and warmth.

Dozens of deaths have been reported and many people are pleading for a faster response to the power outages. About 536,000 homes and businesses across Kentucky were without power, down from more than 600,000 the largest outage in state history, surpassing the damage last year from the remnants of Hurricane Ike.

Doris Hemingway, 78, spent three days bundled in blankets to ward off the cold in her Leitchfield mobile home. News that it could take up to six weeks for power to be restored sent Hemingway and his husband, Bill, into a shelter at a local high school.

“I’d pray awhile and I’d cry awhile,” Doris Hemingway said. “It’s the worst I’ve ever seen.”

Hey… Al lives right next door in Tennessee! I think it’s high time Al Gore drove a Zamboni over to Kentucky and warned them about Global Warming.

Don’t you?

Why Liberals and Conservatives are a Gazillion Miles Apart

Posted by redsatellite on February 1, 2009

The NY Times is at it…again. Coloring all Americans who are against amnesty and want enforcement of our immigration laws as ‘racists’. On this issue, liberals are incapable of connecting the dots. Seriously. Liberals are incapable of critical thinking.

For some reason, which scientists who study brain activity have yet to identify, they can’t fathom that we are a NATION OF LAWS. That if people violate those laws, they should pay for their transgressions. Simple really. And if you don’t like the laws then you CHANGE THEM. But until then, shut up already. And yes….here’s a shocker….hold those who broke the law accountable!

The Nativists are Restless

The relentlessly harsh Republican campaign against immigrants has always hidden a streak of racialist extremism. Now after several high-water years, the Republican tide has gone out, leaving exposed the nativism of fringe right-wingers clinging to what they hope will be a wedge issue.

Last week at the National Press Club in Washington, a group seeking to speak for the future of the Republican Party declared that its November defeats in Congressional races stemmed not from having been too hard on foreigners, but too soft.

The group, the American Cause, released a report arguing that anti-immigration absolutism was still the solution for the party’s deep electoral woes, actual voting results notwithstanding. Rather than “pander to pro-amnesty Hispanics and swing voters,” as President Bush and Karl Rove once tried to do, the report’s author, Marcus Epstein, urged Republicans to double down on their efforts to run on schemes to seal the border and drive immigrants out.
This is nonsense, of course.

The NY Times, in particular, is famous for pulling out the Thesaurus or the Dictionary every time they want to marginalize the debate. This time the word is ‘nativist’. With Muslim psychopaths it was ‘insurgents’ or with their murdering behavior it was ‘restive’. How odd is it that they use the term ‘racial extremism’ and ‘fringe right wingers’ in the text, but title the article: The Nativists are Restless?

By assigning a thesaural word like nativist, they attempt to make it an intellectual debate…as if somehow, they’ve armed themselves with superior grammar and vocabulary. Well sorry fellas…I’m onto your pseudo-erudite manipulation.

You’re full of lexical feces, plain and simple.
