I am Socialist, Hear Me Roar

Posted by redsatellite on December 26, 2008

Paul Krugman, current Nobel Prize winner and modern-day Marxist, is embracing Obama’s FDR redux with open arms.

But the Bushies didn’t have to worry about governing well and honestly. Even when they failed on the job (as they so often did), they could claim that very failure as vindication of their anti-government ideology, a demonstration that the public sector can’t do anything right.

How did F.D.R. manage to make big government so clean?

A large part of the answer is that oversight was built into New Deal programs from the beginning. The Works Progress Administration, in particular, had a powerful, independent “division of progress investigation” devoted to investigating complaints of fraud. This division was so diligent that in 1940, when a Congressional subcommittee investigated the W.P.A., it couldn’t find a single serious irregularity that the division had missed.

Krugman, like a gazillion other liberals, feels that a government run by a democrat is infinitely more connected to ‘the people’. All those civilian workers who slaved under a Republican administration will suddenly become do-gooders with utopian motivation under a Democrat.

Read the whole thing…it’s nothing short of disturbing. I always have to take a bath after reading his Op-Eds.

No Love Lost Here

Posted by redsatellite on December 24, 2008

A few days ago, I implored those who live in New Yorkto MOVE. Today, I’m asking those residents of California- to do the same.

A California official is warning that the state will run out of money in about two months unless a budget deal is struck.

State Controller John Chiang said Monday that his office could be forced to defer billions of dollars in payments or issue IOUs.

Awww….couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of loons. Both states have long succumbed to bloated liberal ideas and causes- rife with enormous taxes and compensation for every social or progressive program to be found. This is the WEALTHIEST state in the United States…with GDP and GNP larger than most countries!

And they still can’t pay their bills.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is raising hopes of a budget deal this week. He says he wants to work with Democratic leaders to close a $42 billion shortfall projected through mid-2010.

Arnold, you silly Terminator, have you fallen on your head? Demo-bats control the state Senate AND the state House. You HAVE TO work with them….you have no choice. California is a sick puppy with paralyzing liberal economics. And that’s not going to change….if ever.

I moved from there 15 months ago- just in the nick of time.

Global Warming Rages Through Portland

Posted by redsatellite on December 23, 2008

Al Gore, the Mensa of Memphis….the Titan of Tennessee…has done it again. If it gets any warmer here in the U.S., I’m selling igloos door to door.

Several thousand travelers remained stranded Monday after a rare weekend snowstorm walloped Seattle. “We haven’t seen accumulation like this in 12 years,” said Seattle-Tacoma International Airport spokesman Peter McGraw.

The 14.5-inch snowfall Sunday in Portland, Maine, surpassed the old record for Dec. 21 of 12.4 inches, set in 1933, according to the National Weather Service.

Now wait just a greenhouse minute…call me sceptical….but they’re millions of people waiting…and waiting…and waiting….and waiting…oh heck…and waiting some more…for the heat to show up. Oh….silly me…I forgot…there are OTHERS waiting too!

And that was just in 2008. Last year? More millions…and millions…oh heck…let’s throw in more millions. All this warmth…

…is making me shiver.

The Boyfriend’s Mother’s Brother’s Niece’s Cousin Once Removed

Posted by redsatellite on December 22, 2008

This is the derangement of CNN and the Leftwing Media. Rather than headline reports on Barack Obama’s half-brother living in a hut in Africa or Barack’s aunt living on welfare and avoiding DEPORTATION– instead we get headlines on Sarah Palin’s relatively OBSCURE

Sherry Johnston, whose son is having a baby with the daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, was arrested Thursday on drug charges, Alaska State Police said.

Deborah Miller, supervisor of the criminal department in the clerk’s office in Palmer,
Alaska, told CNN that Sherry Johnston was released on bail and is scheduled to be arraigned January 6.

I’m glad that Ms. Miller TOLD CNN. Wouldn’t want CNN to miss out on any earth shattering news of national and international importance.

If You Live in New York…MOVE

Posted by redsatellite on December 19, 2008

I moved from California for all kinds of reasons. But mainly because the leftwing loons had taken over. Now I see- their cousins– the East Coast loons have taken over New York.

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s $1.2 billion property tax increase won approval from the City Council on Thursday, raising homeowners’ bills by 7 percent as the city grapples with a worsening economy and disappearing revenue.

“Even though it won’t be popular, New Yorkers will understand,” Councilman Miguel Martinez of Manhattan said in explaining his support for the tax hike. “Times are hard, and we’re asking everyone to pitch in.”

Opponents warned that residents were already overtaxed. Since Mr. Bloomberg took office, property taxes have increased by 18.5 percent.

UNDERSTAND? Yah…they’ll understand they’re going BROKE. Who in their right mind would put up with that?

The property tax increase comes as Gov. David A. Paterson is pushing more than 100 new taxes and fees on items from downloaded music to nondiet sodas, and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is moving to impose fare and toll increases.

More than a HUNDRED new taxes. 100. As in…10 x 10. No matter how you slice it….that’s ugly….and expensive.

A Purpose Driven Inauguration

Posted by redsatellite on December 18, 2008

You kind of knew this was going to happen. What began with lofty promises of Hope and Change…of Love and Peace and Sunshine and Moonbeams…are ever so slowly…devolving. Yep. The liberal elite and the hard left were nothing short of EXUBERANT when Barack Obama won. Why…you’ve never heard such praise and celebration..such joy and adulation.

You would’ve thought we cured cancer.

So when Barack won, it was payback time. Payback for their undying passion and support. And they instantly expected – ney DEMANDED– that Obama start surrounding himself with loon after progressive loon. A White House full of nothing but liberal doves and social progressives.

But then?

Then Barack picked Hillary. Then he kept Robert Gates. And now? Now he’s picked conservative pastor and best selling author Rick Warren to lead the invocation at his own inauguration. And…
the liberals? Liberals do what they do best, they come UNHINGED.

Prominent liberal groups and gay rights proponents criticized President-elect Barack Obama Wednesday for choosing evangelical pastor Rick Warren to deliver the invocation at the presidential inauguration next month.

Warren, one of the most influential religious leaders in the nation, has championed issues such as a reduction of global poverty, human rights abuses and the AIDS epidemic.

But the founder of the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, has also adhered to socially conservative stances- including his opposition to gay marriage and abortion rights that puts him at odds with many in the Democratic Party, especially the party’s most liberal wing.

Ruh roh. Is the honeymoon over?

People for the American Way President Kathryn Kolbert told CNN she is “deeply disappointed” with the choice of Warren and said the powerful platform at the inauguration should instead have been given to someone who has “consistent mainstream American values.”

“There is no substantive difference between
Rick Warren and James Dobson,” Kolbert said. “The only difference is tone. His tone is moderate, but his ideas are radical.”

Hmmm…we seem to have a SERIOUS disconnect. FYI Ms. Kolbert- ‘Mainstream American values’ don’t include gay marriage and gay issues. Never have. Check out the voting results of every single state that has put gay marriage on an election ballot.

So who’s the ‘radical’ here Kimosabe?

When Tolerance Meets Stupidity

Posted by redsatellite on December 17, 2008

Just when I think I’ve seen it all or heard it all….I come across something like this.

The father of 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell, denied a birthday cake with the child’s full name on it by one New Jersey supermarket, is asking for a little tolerance.

You name your kid ADOLF HITLER Campbell and you’re asking for tolerance? So let me see if I have this straight- you’ve burdened your child with a name so infamous -so synonymous with INTOLERANCE- a name so reviled and hated because of the evil pathology associated with it- that you’re disappointed at how people are reacting?

You and your misguided anencephalic wife decide to give your child that name and now you want tolerance?

Heath Campbell and his wife, Deborah, are upset not only with the decision made by the nearby ShopRite, but also with an outpouring of angry Internet postings in response to a local newspaper article about the cake.

Heath Campbell, who is 35, said in an interview Tuesday that people should look forward, not back, and accept change.

You’ll be lucky if little Adolph makes it out of elementary school without getting his a** kicked- and now that I think about it-YOUR a** should be kicked for the horrible infamy you are placing on little Adolph.

“They need to accept a name. A name’s a name. The kid isn’t going to grow up and do what (Hitler) did,” he said.

A name’s a name? Oh really? Then why didn’t you name him: Cockadoodle-do, Susan, or Sonuva*****? What about the N word? How about you call him ‘Fire’? So the next time you shout his name in a crowded theater- we can arrest you.

You’re an idiot. You should be shot….and preferably by someone named Mother Teresa.

Places Everyone…it’s Shoe Time!

Posted by redsatellite on December 16, 2008

By now, you and countless millions have seen the video. You’ve seen President Bush deftly duck a size 10 shoe being thrown at him, not once- but TWICE. Evidently, an irate Iraqi journalist called him a dog and began hurling insults along with his shoes.

The brother of the journalist now famous for hurling his shoes at President Bush said his sibling’s actions were “spontaneous” and represented millions of Iraqis who want to “humiliate the tyrant.”

Dhirgham al-Zaidi, who sometimes worked as his brother’s cameraman, described the reporter’s hatred for the “material American occupation” and the “moral Iranian occupation.”
All that makes for great TV, but you gotta admit- the guy looked and acted JUST LIKE all those unhinged liberal retards who attempt to interrupt speeches, and meetings, and hearings, and….and…oh heck…the list goes on and on. Admittedly, the two shoes weren’t PIES, but the intent was the same. I will say this…one thing is clear about liberals:

Throwing a tantrum and acting childish seems to be important to them.
