Got Milk?

Posted by redsatellite on August 7, 2008

ONLY in California, would that be- Harvey Milk. (Okay maybe Massachusetts and parts of Vermont.)

AB 2567 requires Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to proclaim May 22 of each year as Harvey Milk Day, putting it on par with President’s Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Harvey Milk was the first openly homosexual person to be elected to public office in a major U.S. city. He was a former San Francisco Board of Supervisors member, who along with Mayor George Moscone, was assassinated by former Board of Supervisor Dan White at San Francisco City Hall on Nov. 27, 1978.

The bill designates May 22 “as having special significance in public school and educational institutions and encourages those entities to conduct suitable commemorative exercises on that date.”

Yes….that would be reason #6,451 why I left California. The word ‘normal’ no longer applies to this once beautiful state. Sadly, it is a state under siege. Citizens held hostage by a BATTERY of leftwing loons and liberal activists.

A truly dysfunctional place.
