In conjunction with my ongoing mini-series- Al Gore: My Life As a Green Teletubby– apparently, Global Warming has slammed yet another region. This time it’s Maine.
It’s official. The 2007-08 snow season in northern Maine is one for the record books. Just in time for the start of spring. The old record of 181.1 inches of snow recorded in Caribou, set in 1955, was shattered by noontime Friday when the National Weather Service in Caribou recorded 182.5 inches of snow since the start of the season. If it’s not Maine, it’s Minnesota….or South America…or China….(oh heck..let’s stop quibbling)…. THE EARTH!

Obamalama ding dong finally said- the magic words. Words that sum up the liberal mindset…and captures the quintessential difference between liberals and conservatives. Yes…it was a moment…where I sat there and went..Bingo!
Presidential candidate Barack Obama, largely ignoring his Democratic rival for now, ridiculed likely Republican nominee John McCain on Wednesday for offering “not one single idea” to help hard-pressed homeowners facing foreclosure.“George Bush called this the ownership society, but what he really meant was ‘you’re-on-your-own’ society,” Obama told a town hall meeting here, tying McCain to a president whose popularity is low. “John McCain apparently wants to continue this.”
Okay….one more time for all of you pseudo-erudite liberals: just in case, you are too dense to follow. When you take ‘RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS’….with the individual freedoms that we as Americans all enjoy- which includes making YOUR OWN MISTAKES (Obama: here’s where you can insert a word like…like the word ‘FORECLOSURE’!)…yes Obamalama Dingbat…hopefully in a free democracy…you are on your own.
As you should be.
As we ALL should be. Because….we are free-thinking responsible adults. So that means- no handouts, no free lunches, no mulligans, no do-overs, no bail-outs, no government interventions, no taking from Jack to pay Jill (you can stop me at any time when you finally get it through your thick skull), and if you can’t figure it out by now- no ‘offering ideas to help’ out the knuckleheads who bought a house that he or she can’t afford.
It’s that simple. But then again…simple things escape you. As it does most liberals.

Yah…there’s a connection. And you need to know that.
Last July, Trinity United Church of Christ reprinted a Hamas manifesto written by a terrorist fugitive wanted by the FBI. It was published across two pages of the “Pastor’s Page” section of the church bulletin.
Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s name is copyrighted at the bottom of the pages. In his newsletter, the preacher gives Mousa Abu Marzook a platform to justify the Palestinian terrorist group’s denial of Israel’s right to exist, while defending strikes against Israeli targets.
Obama’s pastor. Think about it….no really THINK ABOUT IT. And he’s running for president?

Whenever I speak about the UN, invariably, another oxymoron has to be introduced.Last year it was: UN Prosecution. In 2008..and ESPECIALLY in Darfur, it’s: UN Peacekeeping Force.
As Darfur smolders in the aftermath of a new government offensive, a long-sought peacekeeping force, expected to be the world’s largest, is in danger of failing even as it begins its mission because of bureaucratic delays, stonewalling by Sudan’s government and reluctance from troop-contributing countries to send peacekeeping forces into an active conflict. The force, a joint mission of the African Union and the United Nations, officially took over from an overstretched and exhausted African Union force in Darfur on Jan. 1. It now has just over 9,000 of an expected 26,000 soldiers and police officers and will not fully deploy until the end of the year, United Nations officials said. The United Nations is a feckless organization rife with pusillanimous pretenders and vitiated with corruption. Uh…did I mince words?
Ultimately, the government signed a compromise agreement with the United Nations allowing the force to operate, but Sudan was successful in insisting that the vast majority of troops come from African countries, and will be supplemented by soldiers from other regions only if suitable African troops cannot be found. This has delayed the force’s mission, because African armies are not usually able to deploy quickly with equipment and training to meet stringent United Nations standards, United Nations officials and Western diplomats said. Sudanese government officials have argued that African troops are up to the job, and that non-African troops would be seen as neocolonial interlopers.
Interlopers? ….Well HEAVENS TO GEORGE CLOONEY….we can’t have that. What to do? Uh oh…the old liberal conundrum….how do we play the Moral Authority Card without getting noticed!

This just in- money buys happiness.
Money can buy happiness, but only if you spend it on someone else, researchers reported on Thursday. Spending as little as $5 a day on someone else could significantly boost happiness, the team at the University of British Columbia and Harvard Business School found.
We wanted to test our theory that how people spend their money is at least as important as how much money they earn,” said Elizabeth Dunn, a psychologist at the University of British Columbia.
Regardless of how much income each person made, those who spent money on others reported greater happiness, while those who spent more on themselves did not,” Dunn said in a statement.
I spent tens of thousands of dollars on my ex-wife and I was miserable!

We have the Goracle (everyone please bow and genuflect towards their diminishing Polar Icecaps) and now we have the Obamacle. Children, gather ’round… Obama will speak:
He mentioned the nation’s “tragic history” on race: “We’ve got a lot of pent-up anger and bitterness and misunderstanding,” he said.
So exactly WHEN are you going to get over your ‘pent-up anger and bitterness’? Quit playing the Victim Card…for the twenty six thousand four hundred and fifteenth time.
Earlier in the speech, Obama noted that he is the son of a black man from Africa and a white woman from Kansas. That allowed him to speak with authority about both races.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? How lucky can a guy be? He gets to speak for….both races!
Obama used his speech to explain why the “anger is real” in the black community. He also touched on anger in the white community, where people have “worked hard all their lives, many times only to see their jobs shipped overseas or their pension dumped after a lifetime of labor. They are anxious about their futures, and feel their dreams slipping away…”
Uh…wrong there Mr. Obamalama….I’m angry at moonbat liberals who blame America for everything….for all their ills…for all their problems….like the venom-spewing victim wannabe

The Wall Street Journal may have hit one out of the park. Yep…a Home Run. I came across an excellent piece about Obama’s cache with white America. They called it ‘bargaining‘.
The novelty of Barack Obama is more his cross-racial appeal than his talent. Jesse Jackson displayed considerable political talent in his presidential runs back in the 1980s. But there was a distinct limit to his white support. Mr. Obama’s broad appeal to whites makes him the first plausible black presidential candidate in American history. And it was Mr. Obama’s genius to understand this. Though he likes to claim that his race was a liability to be overcome, he also surely knew that his race could give him just the edge he needed- an edge that would never be available to a white, not even a white woman.
How to turn one’s blackness to advantage?
The answer is that one “bargains.” Bargaining is a mask that blacks can wear in the American mainstream, one that enables them to put whites at their ease. This mask diffuses the anxiety that goes along with being white in a multiracial society. Bargainers make the subliminal promise to whites not to shame them with America’s history of racism, on the condition that they will not hold the bargainer’s race against him.
And whites love this bargain- and feel affection for the bargainer- because it gives them racial innocence in a society where whites live under constant threat of being stigmatized as racist. So the bargainer presents himself as an opportunity for whites to experience racial innocence.
For whites, here is the opportunity to document their deliverance from the shames of their forbearers.
This may be the most articulate, spot-on observation I’ve ever come across. Read the whole article….impressive. Oh….and by the way….Shelby Steele is the author- a black man.

Geraldine Ferraro committed a gaffe last week, and has paid the price for it.
Michael Kinsley has a better definition. “A gaffe is when a politician tells the truth.”
Telling the truth always costs you when you work for the Clintons.

Those Palestinians…can’t live with them, can’t live without- uh no- I was right the first time…CAN’T LIVE with them. The Culture of Death tribe- which I now affectionately call ‘The CODs’, will do anything to achieve death and destruction.
And what’s insane…what’s sad is– they agree!
A Hamas parliamentarian has openly admitted to developing a “death-seeking” culture that uses women, children and the elderly as human shields against Israeli military attacks.”The enemies of Allah do not know that the Palestinian people have developed methods of death and death-seeking,” Hamas parliamentarian, Fathi Hammad said in a speech televised on Hamas’ Al-Aksa television station two weeks ago.
Well…Hammad…you homicidal maniac you– if you’re referring to feckless secular LIBERALS, you’re right…but the rest of the entire world- have been on to you evil murdering CODs for quite some time now. (How about 1972!)
The human shield tactic is not new.In November 2006, at least a dozen Palestinian gunmen avoided Israeli capture in Gaza when they took refuge in a mosque and called on women and children to shield them so they could escape.

You learn something new everyday. Yep…..evidently, our ‘Love Gov’ was smurfing.
Add one more colorful detail to thecase of New York Gov. Eliot L. Spitzer: Structuring a transaction — the financial crime for which he is under investigation — is also known in the prosecutorial world as “smurfing.”
Federal law requires banks to report to the government cash transactions of more than $10,000. It is a crime for someone to try to avoid the reporting requirement by breaking up one large transaction – “structuring” it – into multiple ones, each under the $10,000 threshold.
When these smaller transactions point to a single recipient and reach or exceed $10,000, they can trigger bank suspicions of illegal activity.
Structuring transactions became known as smurfing because, like the sky-blue cartoon characters made famous in the 1980s NBC series “The Smurfs,” the transactions resemble one another, are small and call attention to themselves through their multiplicity.
And now they’ve caught Governor Spitzer….uh Client #9…uh…PAPA SMURF!
