The End Point of Multi-Culturalism

Posted by Mark on February 7, 2008

The Archbishop of Canterbury has today said that the adoption of Islamic Sharia law in the UK is “unavoidable” and that it would help maintain social cohesion. Rowan Williams told BBC Radio 4’s World At One that the UK has to “face up to the fact” that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.

So, in order to be tolerant, one must embrace the most intolerant system of laws. And this is the “head” of the Anglican Communion? Sigh.

In this photo, you can see defeat in the man’s face. And defeat is what he is saying is “unavoidable.”

Dragged Kicking and Screaming…

Posted by Mark on February 7, 2008

…I endorse John McCain for President.

(This endorsement, and $1.85 will get you a cup of coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts.)

I don’t really have a choice, now do I?

In the end, I always ask myself:

Who would Al-Qaeda pull the lever for in November?

Of the three possibilities, the one least likely to get Al-Qaeda’s vote is John McCain.

I don’t speak for Craig or Matt. They have to post their own opinions.

But now that the battle for the White House is truly joined, you’ll hear no more disparaging remarks from me about Mr. McCain. Is he the best choice? Nope. But, he’s the only choice now.

Say What?

When I read John McCain’s comments these days…I have to take medication. Now that he enjoys a substantial lead over Romney and Huckabee, his words get more egregious by the minute.

“I do hope that at some point we would just calm down a little bit and see if there’s areas we can agree on. Our message will be that we all share common principles, common conservative principles, and we should coalesce around those issues in which we are in agreement and I hope respectfully disagree on a few specific issues there’s disagreement on.”In advance of Tuesday’s Virginia and Maryland primaries, McCain’s campaign began airing TV advertisements in the region titled “True Conservative,” touting his devotion to cutting taxes and to Ronald Reagan.

‘Common conservative principles’? Is he out of his mind? He’s FOR Amnesty! ‘Devotion to cutting taxes’? He voted AGAINST Bush’s tax cuts!

Shut up McCain…what a load of cow dung.
