Knuckle-Dragging, Intolerant, Closed Minded Fundamentalist Bob Jones III…

Posted by Mark on October 23, 2007

endorses Mitt Romney, a Mormon. How can this be? Maybe because, despite the Left’s attempts to smear him, Bob Jones is only one of the above adjectives…Fundamentalist.

Romney and Jones would appear to be a political odd couple, with the Southern fundamentalist Christian throwing his support behind the Mormon who was governor of Massachusetts.

But Jones said his endorsement came after he decided Romney would do the most to represent the average conservative American.

“As a Christian I am completely opposed to the doctrines of Mormonism,” Jones told the newspaper. “But I’m not voting for a preacher. I’m voting for a president. It boils down to who can best represent conservative American beliefs, not religious beliefs.”

Well said.

And You Want MORE Government In Your Life?

Posted by Mark on October 23, 2007

When Hillary Clinton brings up National Health care and the need to socialize medicine, I literally CRINGE. Yes, it would be wonderful if we could all get free healthcare for our families, but the reality of Americans paying for the government to take care of us is……is….well…it’s more like this:

Report: Most of $1.2 billion to train Iraqi police unaccounted for

The U.S. State Department is unable to account for most of $1.2 billion in funding that it gave to DynCorp International to train Iraqi police, a government report said Tuesday.

“The bottom line is that State can’t account for where it went,” said Glenn D. Furbish, who was involved in putting together the 20-page report for the special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction (SIGIR).

The Department of State’s Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) “did not have the information needed to identify what DynCorp provided under the contract or how funds were spent,” the report said.

Not one liberal democrat ever seems to grasp the remarkable incompetence of government…be it City, State, or Federal. Not one of them recognizes the systemic ineptitude and moribund complacency that is inherent in civilian employment. I’m still waiting for the cogent argument that clearly demonstrates why you would want MORE government in your life.

Why?

I work with the U.S. government each and every day. And if you think for one second, that the ridiculous malfeasance illustrated here, is an EXCEPTION, you are living in a world that Sir Thomas More invented almost 500 years ago.
