CAIR less

Posted by Mark on June 12, 2007

This just in- the band of Islamic thugs, otherwise known as CAIR, has a membership problem. But that doesn’t seem to stop them from expanding.

Membership in the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has declined more than 90 percent since the 2001 terrorist attacks, according to tax documents obtained by The Washington Times.

The number of reported members spiraled down from more than 29,000 in 2000 to fewer than 1,700 in 2006. As a result, the Muslim rights group’s annual income from dues dropped from $732,765 in 2000, when yearly dues cost $25, to $58,750 last year, when the group charged $35.

The organization instead is relying on about two dozen donors a year to contribute the majority of the money for CAIR’s budget, which reached nearly $3 million last year. Asked about the decline, Parvez Ahmed, CAIR’s board chairman, pointed to the number of donors.

“We are proud that our grass-roots support in the American Muslim community has allowed CAIR to grow from having eight chapters and offices in 2001 to having 33 today,” Mr. Ahmed said.

Hmmm….90% less membership but FOUR TIMES as many offices. Impressive. Ummm…why don’t you tell our listeners the real problem here Mr. Ahmed- you sorry sack of camel dung.

Perhaps the most obvious problem with CAIR is the fact that at least five of its employees and board members have been arrested, convicted, deported, or otherwise linked to terrorism-related charges and activities.

Oh…I hate it when that happens. And now you know……the rest of the story. Good day!

Twenty Years Ago Today: Mr. Gorbachev…

Posted by Mark on June 12, 2007

How the world has changed in twenty years. And how I wish Mr. Reagan was still around..

General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!

And, with this speech, the wall began to crack…
