A Dialogue for the September 12th World

Fred Factor

Posted by Mark on March 29, 2007

A new face has appeared on the horizon for the 2008 presidential race. And it’s a well recognized face at that. He’s been lurking on the sidelines and is now thinking of strapping on his helmet…and getting into the game. His name is Fred Thompson.

“Law & Order” star and former U.S. senator Fred Dalton Thompson is considering a bid for the White House that would test whether Hollywood can once again launch a Republican to the world’s premier political stage.

His interest, confirmed in a brief interview this week, is generating buzz in Washington. He was third among Republican-leaning voters in a recent Gallup-USA Today survey, behind Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) and former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and ahead of former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.

Hmmm…this could be good news for the Republicans. They could use another Hollywood actor running for president. But I don’t know his views or his opinions. And until I can get a good read on him….he can get in line with the rest of ’em.

There is nothing to say about Fred other than for the last six years while the GOP has taken it from everyside..he has been out in Hollywood “play acting” politics and banging some broad thats young enough to be his daughter.

He wont ever get my vote.

Fred Thompson = CHINO (christian in name only)

Beansox brings up the reason I may very well vote for Thompson.

Good! We need someone who hasn’t been in DC playing politics for the last 6 years. We need an outsider, like Reagan, back in office.
