Changing Tide

Funny how more and more scientists are finally becoming brave enough to speak up.

Danish scientist: Global warming is a myth

A Danish scientist said the idea of a “global temperature” and global warming is more political than scientific. …

“It is impossible to talk about a single temperature for something as complicated as the climate of Earth,” said Andresen, an expert on thermodynamics. “A temperature can be defined only for a homogeneous system. Furthermore, the climate is not governed by a single temperature. Rather, differences of temperatures drive the processes and create the storms, sea currents, thunder, etc. which make up the climate”.

This is becoming a more prevalent opinion amongst scientists that actually study climate. Politics aside, this is a very complicated phenomenon that cannot be boiled down to simplistic terms. But I guess we will learn that eventually, I just hope we have not driven ourselves to ruin by then.

Are You Muslim , Iranian, or Persian…Which Is It?

So Iranians are outraged by the movie ‘300’. Uh….all together now- WAHHHHHH!

The hit American movie 300 has angered Iranians who say the Greeks-vs-Persians action flick insults their ancient culture and provokes animosity against Iran.

“Hollywood declares war on Iranians,” blared a headline in Tuesday’s edition of the independent Ayende-No newspaper.

The movie, which raked in $70 million in its opening weekend, is based on a comic-book fantasy version of the battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C., in which a force of 300 Spartans held off a massive Persian army at a mountain pass in Greece for three days.

One slight problem. Iranians conveniently FORGET that the battle of Thermopylae takes place 1000 years before MOHAMMED’S BIRTH. So why the outrage? Muslims are steadfast in their belief that Islam and Sharia law constitutes their entire existence, to put it bluntly, they don’t recognize any history prior to his birth.

“It is a new effort to slander the Iranian people and civilization before world public opinion at a time of increasing American threats against Iran,” it said.

Oh….shut your Arab pieholes!

Persia existed before and after Mohammed. Iran as a nation, with it’s current boundaries…didn’t exist until 1935.
