Hail To The Moon

Posted by Mark on December 17, 2006

So Kofi the Anencephalic is out…and Ban Ki the Moon is in.

Ban Ki-moon was sworn in yesterday as the new U.N. secretary-general and amid widespread accolades for his predecessor’s 10-year tenure, he shifted the mood at the U.N. General Assembly, vowing to launch an “Operation Restore Trust.”

In an indication that Mr. Ban could be friendlier to American interests than his predecessor, the former South Korean foreign minister condemned Iran’s recent conference of Holocaust deniers and its president’s call to wipe Israel off the map, calling both “unacceptable.”

The fact that we bailed out South Korea from living under Kim il Sung (or ill Kim Sung, or is it Samsung?….I forget which) would lead most people to think that America might catch a BREAK from the United Nations- that merry band of PERFIDIOUS panderers.

Well…you would be WRONG mon ami. Uh…you haven’t seen the French do us any favors in the last 50 years have you? Heck…let me rephrase that- the last 60. No….nothing will change, but two things are certain:

1) The U.S. will continue to FUND 21% of the UN’s annual budget. And…
2) The UN will continue to use the world stage to denounce, deride, and defame the United States.

The fallacious pseudo-salubrious UN will operate business as usual.
