John Kerry, Closet Republican?

Posted by Mark on October 31, 2006

You’d sure think so, based on the wonderful hammer he’s given us to beat up on his Party a week before mid-term elections. Thanks, Senator!

Next Tuesday Could Be Ugly For Maryland Democrats

Posted by Mark on October 31, 2006

Over in Maryland, the black community is running out of patience with the Dem-donks. Gee….I wonder why. It took forty years of empty promises from the Democratic Party and success from Michael Steele inside the Republican Party to bring them around….but hey…better late than never.

(Several months ago…I wrote about this uphill battle – maybe it’s FINALLY gaining some traction.)

A new poll shows that a majority of black Democrats in Maryland are getting frustrated with the Democratic Party, both locally and nationally. The poll found that 65 percent of black Democratic voters registered in Maryland say their party and its candidates should commit to issues of concern to blacks before asking for their votes.

Issues that concern blacks? What a NOVEL IDEA!

This year, several prominent black Republicans are seeking the governorships of Pennsylvania and Ohio, and black Republican Michael Steele is running for the Maryland Senate. On the Democratic side, Rep. Harold Ford, Jr. is running for the Senate from Tennessee, and Deval Patrick is running for governor of Massachusetts.

Nothing would make me laugh louder and harder and bring me more JOY…than to see blacks having great success as Conservatives. The Democratic Party would likely IMPLODE and the black community as a whole…would stop playing the Jesse Jackson-Victim Card once and for all.

An Election Story From Marla T.

Posted by Mark on October 30, 2006

With the election a week a way…

While walking down the street one day a US Senator is tragically hit by a truck and dies.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
“Welcome to heaven,” says St. Peter. “Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.” “No problem, just let me in,” says the man.

“Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we’ll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.”
“Really, I’ve made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,” says the senator.
“I’m sorry, but we have our rules.”
And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse.
Standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.
Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.
They play a friendly game of golf; and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne.
Also present is the Devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises…
The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

“Now it’s time to visit heaven.”

So, 24 hours pass with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing.
They have a good time. Before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

“Well, then, you’ve spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.”

The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: “Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.”
So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. Now the doors of the elevator open and he’s in the middle of a barren land covered with foul smelling waste and putrid garbage.
He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The Devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder.
“I don’t understand,” stammers the Senator. “Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse. We ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, danced and had a great time. Now there’s just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?”

The Devil looks at him, smiles and says,

“Yesterday we were campaigning…… Today you voted.”

Sigh. It would a be a lot funnier if it weren’t so darn true…

Patriots Beat ACLU

Posted by Mark on October 30, 2006

The ACLU found a game they couldn’t win. Of course, you wouldn’t know it by their locker room rhetoric.

The American Civil Liberties Union has dropped a three-year-old lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the USA Patriot Act, months after Congress rewrote parts of the law.

The ACLU said Friday it is withdrawing the lawsuit because of “improvements to the law.”

Yah…right. What a load of B.S.

“While the reauthorized Patriot Act is far from perfect, we succeeded in stemming the damage from some of the Bush administration’s most reckless policies,” Ann Beeson, the New York-based associate legal director of the ACLU, said in a written statement.

Notice how the vacuous ACLU takes credit for any real or perceived modifications done to the original Patriot Act? Like they had a hand in it? What a load of GRADE A compost.

Someone get me a shovel.

It Was In the Cards

Posted by Mark on October 28, 2006

Congratulations St. Louis.

The Cardinals finished off a stumbling bumbling Detroit Tigers team last night…to take home the World Series title, 4 games to 1. Detroit managed to commit 8 errors in those five games…and their pitchers….well apparently, fielding is not their strong suit.

In hindsight…St. Louis could’ve bunted it back to the pitcher everytime up. The Detroit pitchers looked like Little Leaguers out there. But…it is what it is.

And the St. Louis Cardinals are the CHAMPIONS.

‘Muslim Violence’…Ever Hear A Liberal Say It?

Posted by Mark on October 27, 2006

They can’t, they won’t…they’re incapable.

Liberals will be the first to boast of their lexicon prowess…their perspicacity…their brilliant abstract sophistry. Yet, for all of their education….their erudite savoir faire, they are COMPLETELY unable to associate Muslims with violence. Which is rather surprising given…how smart they are. Here…let me give you a headline over at CBS News:

Youths Torch 3 Buses in Suburban Paris

Hmmm…which youths? Whites? Blacks? Christians? Hindus? Neo-Nazis?Aborigines? Bloods….Crips? Mexicans? WHICH youths? Well…alright, let me read the first paragraph:

Youths forced passengers off three buses and set the vehicles on fire overnight in suburban Paris, raising tensions Thursday ahead of the first anniversary of the riots that engulfed France’s rundown, heavily immigrant neighborhoods.

Immigrant youths?

Hmmm….okay…one more time then: WHICH immigrant youths? Czech immigrants? Buddhist immigrants? Mexican immigrants? Bulgarian immigrants? White immigrants? Black immigrants?

The riots in October 2005 raged through housing projects in suburbs nationwide, springing in part from anger over entrenched discrimination against immigrants and their French-born children, many of them Muslims from former French colonies in Africa. Despite an influx of funds and promises, disenchantment still thrives in those communities.

“…entrenched discrimination against immigrants and their French-born children, many of them Muslims from…”

To liberals…there is no such thing as ‘Muslim violence’. Here they skillfully- surreptitiously drop in the word Muslim….but only after leading with ‘ENTRENCHED DISCRIMINATION’. Heck….where’s the box of kleenex?….oh boohoo…boohoo….I haven’t cried this much…since I cut open a Vidalia onion.

Muslim Violence…Muslim Violence…MUSLIM VIOLENCE….see Liberals? see how it easy it is to say it?

Time to Throw Arnold Under the Bus

Posted by Mark on October 26, 2006

I’ve done it before….and I’ll do it again. When a so-called conservative rolls over for the moonbats, loons, and left wingnuts- I get behind the wheel- crank up the Greyhound and back it up AND OVER the deserving victim. Last month it was Senator McCain, today…it’s:

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who recently signed a sweeping law to cut greenhouse gas emissions in California, complained in a letter to President Bush that there is no coherent federal policy to stop global warming.

The Republican governor wrote that the state’s request for a federal waiver to set vehicle emissions standards has been “ignored with no explanation” despite an earlier letter from the governor to Bush, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

Schwarzenegger, up for re-election, has taken several jabs at fellow Republicans in Washington over environmental policy in recent weeks. He calls the fight against global warming one of the most important issues of modern times.

The Sacramento progressives have succeeded in taking him down. I thought the Terminator could withstand the feverswamp. I was wrong…he’s caught the disease. He’s done. Oh well….

…if a Greyhound bus doesn’t do the trick…an LA Unified school bus will do.
