Time To Throw McCain Under the Bus

Posted by Mark on September 9, 2006

I bristle everytime McCain opens his mouth. Yes he’s a war hero…yes we should continue to extend heartfelt gratitude to him for his service in Vietnam.

HOWEVER.

He has wavered and capitulated every chance he gets when it comes to conservative issues. And now he’s in Germany…making sure he cowtows and genuflects to the European press.

The United States’ treatment of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay and Iraq has done serious damage to the country’s image abroad, Republican Senator John McCain was quoted as saying by a German paper on Saturday.

Prisoner abuse by U.S. soldiers in Abu Ghraib jail led to heavy criticism of American policy in Iraq, while the U.S. detention of terrorism suspects at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, without trial has been criticized as an infringement of human rights.

For the 1 millionth time…WHAT ABUSE?

If you think forcing male inmates to strip naked and dance with other men or make prisoners bark like a dog as they listen to Christina Aguilera constitutes abuse, then you need to go visit a Russian gulag or a Turkish prison. And soon.

McCain is a feckless fool and an apologist…in a world FULL of both. (reference: the entire Democratic party). In the spirit of John McCain, I too wish to apologize: I’m sorry the Arizona senator opened his mouth. He doesn’t speak for me….and he never will.

Newsflash: he won’t be speaking for CONSERVATIVES in 2008 either.
