Reuters Admits Photographer Manipulated Images

Posted by Mark on August 7, 2006

Uh…gee…let me give you my SURPRISED look!

Reuters employs a guy with a name straight out of a Muslim baby book to take photos of the Israeli-Hezbollah war and then acts shocked to learn he altered the shots! (What a bunch of disingenuous bovine excrement journalists.)

Reuters withdrew all 920 photographs by a freelance Lebanese photographer from its database on Monday after a review of his work showed he had altered two images from the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

Global Picture Editor Tom Szlukovenyi called the measure precautionary but said the fact that two of the images by photographer Adnan Hajj had been manipulated undermined trust in his entire body of work.

Hajj……hmmm…uh…it wouldn’t be like ‘Hajj’….as in the Muslim WORD for: the pilgrimage to MECCA WOULD IT?

An immediate inquiry began into Hajj’s other work.

Too bad they didn’t hire a photographer named ‘Abraham’ or ‘Zion’.
