Kennedy: ‘I Was Disoriented From the Medication’

WASHINGTON — Rep. Patrick Kennedy says he’d taken a prescription anti-nausea drug that can cause drowsiness, but consumed no alcohol, before crashing his car near the Capitol.

OK, so the drugs were Phenergan and Ambien. Details are sketchy but supposedly he was only on the Phenergan at the time. I do know both drugs have a HUGE driving warning, and I have personally been on both, at different times, and let me tell you something, I would never have taken both. Phenergan knocks me out, I always thought it was by design since you generally don’t feel nausious when your asleep. Ambien of course, is specifically designed to cause one to sleep, so at the very least Rep. Kennedy was Driving Under the Influance of Perscription Drugs, rather than Driving While Intoxicated… Oh yeah that’s so much better.

I am not Teddy, I take drugs… Well at least there isn’t a dead woman involved.

When I wrote this post this morning I never could have guessed.

He’s not a drunk, he’s a stoner… Addicted to Pain Killers, and unlike Rush, decided to LIE about it… PAAAPLEASEEEE…

Rep. Kennedy to Enter Rehab for Prescription Drug Addiction

WASHINGTON — Rep. Patrick Kennedy is on his way to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., to seek continued help for his addiction to prescription drugs after he crashed his car into a concrete barrier on Capitol Hill. …

At a press conference Friday, Kennedy — the son of Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass. — said he does not remember any part of the early Thursday morning accident, even though told reporters earlier he had not asked for special treatment when police found him.
