An MSM Goldmine

Posted by Mark on March 1, 2006

I often get asked about my sources. They range far and wide, from talk radio to other bloggers. One source I’ve discovered recently is JournalistExpress. This is a one stop shopping site for mainstream media sites, government sites, databases, references…you name it. And, if you are feeling more medically minded, you can check out MDExpress. Or maybe you are feeling like trying out your CEO skills, then try CEOExpress. Great references for busy bloggers. If you’ve ever wondered how I’m able to find facts quickly, well now you know.

Reminds me of the Planet of the Apes movies. Wasn’t it a plague that wiped out all dogs and cats that caused people to turn to monkeys as domestic pets?

Ash Wednesday

Posted by Mark on March 1, 2006

From the Book of Common Prayer:

Almighty and everlasting God, you hate nothing you have made and forgive the sins of all who are penitent: Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of you, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

This day marks the beginning of the 40 Lenten days before Easter. It’s a time of reflection and meditation. With the world the way it is, I can think of no better time for the meditative disciplines of Lent.
