Iraq: The Good News You Aren’t Hearing From the MSM

Posted by Mark on January 17, 2005

This is a bi-monthly column from OpinionJournal, full of the news you should be hearing about Iraq, but thanks to agenda driven journalism, won’t hear or see. Enjoy, and think about all the other stories you wouldn’t get if not for the bloggers.

It Ain’t Over ‘Till It’s Over

Posted by Mark on January 17, 2005

Sound Politics is the place to go to stay up to date on the Washington Governor’s race. Hugh Hewitt’s book If It’s Not Close They Can’t Cheat is truly prophetic. But it ain’t over yet. Looks like this election could go to the Courts for resolution.

E Books through Microsoft

Posted by Mark on January 17, 2005

Okay, I admit it. I don’t read books on the computer, but based on the ease of using Microsoft Reader, I may start. Worth checking out all the nifty titles offered, and the program works on even the slowest computers.

Target: Iran

Posted by Mark on January 17, 2005

It’ s important to remember as the MSM feeding frenzy gets underway on this story who Seymour Hersch is, and the nature of his agenda. Here’s a Google search on Mr. Hersch. His agenda has been and continues to be to bring down the Bush Administration, and to promote his Bush bashing book, Chain of Command.

For a long time now, I’ve been following John Podheretz’ s lead in calling the conflict begun on 9/11/01 World War IV. His article in the Fall of 2004 will remain one of the seminal documents on our time. The coming campaign against the theocracy in Iran is the next logical step in winning the war. Despite Mr. Hersch’s dire warnings, Donald Rumsfeld is just the man to have in the job right now, as is Peter Schoomaker, Chief of Staff, US Army. His experience in Special Ops has already served the US well in Afghanistan and Iraq, and will continue to serve the war effort in the coming campaign in Iran.

Battlestar Galactica: Take Two

Posted by Mark on January 17, 2005

Okay, I admit it. My heart was beating a little faster during the premier episode of BG. The first episode, called “33” was absolutely edge of of your seat drama. I was very impressed. Not a show for the kids, unfortunately, but well worth watching on Friday nights. And, please, please, please, forget the old show with Lorne Greene. While there are echoes of the old show here, this is far closer to what Star Trek Next Generation worked for in terms of character development. Great show! And, if you have a broadband connection, the SciFi Channel site is a treat in and of itself.
